Qu\u00e9bec City, September 22, 2022 \u2013<\/strong> The Qu\u00e9bec Mining Association (QMA) has recognized the workplace health and safety achievements of 158 mining industry foremen and supervisors, including 111 who work for companies in the Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue and Nord-du-Qu\u00e9bec regions. They received a workplace health and safety trophy to commend their achievements and the effort made by their teams to maintain a safe working environment for periods of between 50,000 and 650,000 hours in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners for 2022 in the Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue and Nord-du-Qu\u00e9bec regions work for the following companies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Newmont \u2013 \u00c9l\u00e9onore Mine

The QMA highlights the outstanding achievement of the mine production foreman Sylvain Bureau and his team at Canadian Malartic Mine, who set a new record of 650,000 work hours without a compensated accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
