They received a workplace health and safety trophy to commend their achievements and the effort made by their teams to maintain a safe working environment for periods of between 50,000 and 550,000 hours in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner for 2021 in the Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue and Nord-du-Qu\u00e9bec regions work for the following companies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canadian Royalties \u2013 Nunavik Nickel Project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eldorado Gold Qu\u00e9bec \u2013 Lamaque Mine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Horne Smelter, a Glencore company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CMAC-Thyssen Mining Group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hecla Qu\u00e9bec \u2013 Casa Berardi Mine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IAMGOLD Corporation \u2013 Westwood Mine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matagami Mine, a Glencore company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raglan Mine, a Glencore company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agnico Eagle Mines \u2013 LaRonde Complex<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agnico Eagle Mines \u2013 Goldex Mine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Newmont \u2013 \u00c9l\u00e9onore Mine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Canadian Malartic Partnership \u2013 Canadian Malartic Mine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stornoway Diamond Corporation \u2013 Renard Mine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that the longest period without a compensated accident for 2021 is the 550,000-hour total achieved by Sylvain Bureau, a mine production foreman and his team, at Canadian Malartic Mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab Workplace health and safety (WHS) is an anchor value for the QMA, which highlights achievements in the field each year.
