Members
The Québec Mining Association has a membership of around sixty mining companies. Since 1936, the QMA has represented mining companies involved in metals and minerals production, metallurgy companies, mining contractors and junior mining companies throughout Québec. Its membership comprises a majority of the companies producing metals and industrial minerals in Québec.
QMA membership is also open to suppliers of products and services, institutions or organizations whose mission is connected with mining, and other legal persons who act as industry partners. All QMA members are required to implement TSM at their facilities. To learn more about TSM, click here.

Membership categories and benefits / services offered
Operating mines, treatment and refining facilities
Any legal person operating a mine, developing a mine, or treating or handling ore and refining metals in Québec, that meets the eligibility criteria and to which the Board, on request, grants the status of Category A member.
11 seats on the Board of Directors;
Voting member of the Board of Directors;
Vote at annual general meetings;
Representation by the QMA on major issues;
Support from the QMA for its activities (training, information, etc.);
Possibility of joining its working committees;
Access to training sessions and seminars;
Access to compliance audits;
Access to networking activities;
Complete access for reserved members section on the website;
Subscription to newsletters and other news items sent to members;
Visibility on the QMA website;
Reduced rate for QMA activities.
The annual fee is based on the total payroll subject to assessment at the CNESST.
Mining contractors
Any mining contractor that meets the eligibility criteria and to which the Board of directors, on request, grants the status of Category B member.
1 seat on the Board of Directors;
Voting member of the Board of Directors;
Vote at annual general meetings;
Representation by the QMA on major issues;
Support from the QMA for its activities (training, information, etc.);
Possibility of joining its working committees;
Access to training sessions and seminars;
Access to compliance audits;

Exploration companies, mining projects and mines in the process of final closure
Any legal person involved in mineral exploration, mining projects or final closure of mines that meets the eligibility criteria and to which the Board, on request, grants the status of Category C member.

Voting member of the Board of Directors;
Vote at annual general meetings;
Representation by the QMA on major issues;
Support from the QMA for its activities (training, information, etc.);
Possibility of joining a committee;
Access to training sessions and seminars;
Access to compliance audits;

Institutions and non-profit organizations
Any institution or organization (non-profit ) whose mission is connected to the mining industry, a research and technological innovation center, an incubator facility, a Chair, an education institution (vocational , college or university ), whose mission is related to the mining industry, which complies with the eligibility criteria and that the Board, on request, grants category D member status.
Possibility of observer status on the Board of Directors;
Vote at the annual general meeting;
Possibility of joint a committee, if invited by the chair;
Access to symposiums;
Access to networking activities;
Limited access for reserved members section on the website;
Subscription to newsletters and other new items sent to members;
Visibility on the QMA website;

The fee is established at $ 1 000 per year.
Suppliers of goods and services
Any supplier of products and technical services (geophysical and surveying services, etc.), professional services (law firms, accounting firms, geology firms, engineering firms, etc.), financial services (investment funds, financial institutions, capital development institutions), or energy transportation services, whose mission is connected with the mining industry, that meets the eligibility criteria and to which the Board, on request, grants the status of Category E member.
Possibility of observer status on the Board of Directors;
Vote at annual general meetings;
Possibility of joining a committee, if invited by the chair;
Access to symposiums;
Access to networking activities;
Complete access for reserved members section on the website;
Subscription to newsletters and other news items sent to members;
Visibility on the QMA website;
Reduced rate for QMA activities.
The fee is established at $ 3 000 per year.
Other partners
Any legal person that is an industry partner and does not qualify in another category of members, that meets the eligibility criteria and to which the Board, on request, grants the status of Category F member.

Possibility of joining a committee, on payment of a financial contribution;
Access to symposiums;
Access to networking activities;
