QMA Annual Convention
Each June, the QMA holds its Annual Convention, where members have the opportunity to discuss key industry issues while taking part in social and networking activities. During the Convention, the QMA also holds its Annual General Meeting. The next Annual Convention will take place on June 3 and 4, 2026, at the Hilton Québec Hotel.
The program will include:
• A networking cocktail reception
• Several conferences and panel discussions focusing on industry issues and emerging trends
• A gala evening featuring an awards ceremony, music, and entertainment!

Occupational Health and Safety Conference
Occupational health and safety (OHS) is a core value of the mining sector. That is why, since 1964, the QMA has organized an annual conference dedicated to this topic. A key event for OHS professionals from mining companies, it offers a comprehensive and educational program. The next Occupational Health and Safety Conference will take place on October 6, 2026!
Provincial Mine Rescue Competition
The Provincial Mine Rescue Competition is an annual event in Québec where mine rescue teams compete in exercises simulating emergency situations. Organized by the QMA and the CNESST, the competition aims to assess and enhance rescue skills. It promotes safety within the mining industry and encourages the sharing of best practices.
Exceptionally, the next edition will take place in September 2026.

Québec Mining Week
Québec Mining Week takes place every spring. The objective of this event is to provide maximum visibility for the mining industry and help demystify it for the general public. To achieve this, the QMA calls on the participation of its members and industry partners to showcase the sector through a variety of initiatives. This year, Québec Mining Week will take place from April 27 to May 3, 2026.

Maintenance and Procurement Conference
Every two years, the QMA organizes the Maintenance Conference, featuring a series of presentations that allow participants to learn about the latest innovations in mine maintenance, while also visiting the on-site exhibitor trade show. The next Maintenance and Procurement Conference will take place on Spring 2028.

Ground Control Conference
Every two years, the QMA organizes a Ground Control Conference featuring a series of presentations that allow participants to learn about current practices in ground control and rock mechanics in Québec, with the next event scheduled for spring 2027.
Annual Meeting of Mining Industry Nursing Staff
Organized by the QMA, the Annual Meeting of Mining Industry Nursing Staff was held from November 4 to 6, 2025. Over the course of these three days, participants had the opportunity to attend several training sessions as well as health-related conferences. The objective of these training sessions is to provide nursing staff with a systematic approach to caring for patients who present with various health issues or injuries commonly encountered at mining sites.
