Québec City, April 25, 2022 – The 30th annual Québec Mining Week event began today across the province, on the theme “L’industrie minière, la force intérieure”. Québec Mining Week is presented by the Québec Mining Association (QMA) in conjunction with the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), and features a range of activities during the week of April 25 to May 1 that all converge on the same goal: to raise the profile of the Québec mining industry.
The activities presented during Québec Mining Week are designed not only to introduce participants to the world of mining and the goals it pursues, but also to highlight recent advances, provide opportunities to visit working mines, and showcase trades in the mining sector.
Members of the general public are invited to take part in this week of activities in order to gain a better understanding of the key role played by the mining industry in Québec’s economy and in our daily lives. The official program is available at minesqc.com.
